Joan Grunert, a longtime resident of Guilford, CT passed away June 14 at the age of 86 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She is survived by a sister, Shirley Martin of New Sharon, ME, two nieces Mary Jane Beckwith of Portsmith, NH, Ann Grunert of Summersworth, NH and a nephew, John Grunert of Brookline, MA.
Joan received her Bachelors degree in Education from Farmington State Teachers College in Farmington, ME. She went on to teach in the Branford School System and was a longtime employee of Saint Raphaels Hospital in the EKG department.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joans memory may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford. CT 06405.
