Mary was born April 8, 1925 in New Haven, daughter of the late William Peter Mulligan and Mary Alice Rose Mulligan. Beloved mother of William (Lisa) Burland, IV of Quakertown, PA, Thomas (Helen) Burland of Madison and Brian (Johanna) Burland of Woodbridge. Sister of Ann Mulligan of New Haven. Grandmother of Kelly Burland Goldenberg (Mat); William H Burland V (predeceased) and Kathleen Burland Poremba (Dylan); great grandmother of Ava and Caroline Goldenberg; Thomas, Catherine, John, Elizabeth and Helen Burland; Patrick and Christina Burland; Predeceased by two brothers, William and Thomas Mulligan.
Mary was a long time communicant of St. Francis Church in New Haven and St. Barnabas Church in North Haven. Before retiring, Mary was employed at SNET, Co for 30 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margarets R.C. Church, 29 Academy St, Madison on Friday, July 18 at 11 am. Burial will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave, New Haven, CT 06513.
