Surrounded by her family, Diane M. Woodworth, 61, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2014. Born in Catskill, NY on May 10, 1952, she grew up in the Bronx and Windham, NY, and has been a long time resident of Madison, CT. Diane was the loving wife of the late Maurice A. Woodworth; daughter of Samile Krom of Windham, NY, and the late James Krom; beloved mother of Samile L. Keeler and her husband Paul of Westbrook, and Marcia A. Woodworth-DiMartino and her husband Jason of Wallingford; grandmother of Jacob, Joshua, Jordan and Jeremy; and step-grandmother of Matthew and Samantha. Diane was predeceased by her brother Joseph (Jo-Jo) Krom, and is survived by four brothers and eight sisters.
Diane had many talents, and second to being a mother and a wife, she worked as a cook, hairdresser, home care-giver and a nanny over the years. Diane had a passion for all she did, and is known by many for time spent on the softball field both as a coach and a player. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, painting, bowling, and most of all, time with her family and worshiping the Lord.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11 am at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Friends may call prior to the service at Guilford Funeral Home from 10 11 am. Burial will take place privately in East Jewett, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church Building Fund, PO Box 345, Madison, CT 06443.
