In Guilford, Monday September 23, 2013, Harold ( Hap ) J. Bellmore, 89, of 1781 Long Hill Rd, Guilford, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Joan OHara Bellmore. Born in New Haven, CT on October 11, 1923, son of the late Frederick and Catherine Gill Bellmore. Survived by his son Hal Bellmore of Durham, daughters, Claire Mongillo of Woodbridge and Cynthia Bellmore of Guilford. Predeceased by his son Steven A. Bellmore and eleven brothers and sisters.
Harold served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He worked for the New Haven Country Club for several years before his retirement. Harold was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3928 and a founding member of the North Guilford Archery Club. He was an avid hunter and golfer.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 27 at 2pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Nut Plains Cemetery, Guilford.
