Patricia Joan Dombroski, 78, of Guilford, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Connecticut
Hospice in Branford. She was born December 20, 1935, in Providence, Rhode Island, the
daughter of the late John Dombroski. Patricia attended school in New York City and returned to Providence in 1958. She was a long term program participant in the John E. Fogarty Center and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. In 1997, she moved with her father to Guilford and became involved in Sarah, Inc. She was an avid letter writer, keeping in touch with friends and family near and far. She was an excellent swimmer, winning many medals in competitions. She was a loyal friend and an active member of her community at the Gables, where she was recently named a resident ambassador.
She is survived by her devoted cousins, Stan and Kim Dombroski, Robert, Lucas and Samuel Dombroski, of Guilford, Ian and Meredith Dombroski, Emily and Owen Dombroski, of Baltimore, MD, and Christina Moore and Hein Hopmans of Chaplin, CT.
Her family will receive friends on at Guilford Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 6 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SARAH,Inc, 246 Goose Lane, Suite 104, Guilford, CT 06437.
