In Middlesex Weiss Hospice, Middletown, Joseph P. Mettler of Clinton, formerly a long time resident of Madison passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Jean Mettler. Joseph was born July 13, 1925 in Middletown, son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Mauer Mettler. Loving father of Barbara and Ken Brown of AZ, Beverly and Fred Driscoll of New London, Dianna and Sam Sanso of Clinton, Linda Power of Westbrook and Margaret and Paul Rembisz of Clinton. Also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and his significant other Terry Mittica.
Memorial services will be held at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford on Sunday, 19 at 3pm. Friends may call prior to the services from 1 3 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, Guilford. Burial will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Mettlers memory may be made to Middlesex Weiss Hospice, Office of Philanthropy, Middlesex Hospital, 28 Crescent St, Middletown, CT 06457.
