Charles Michael Gray, Jr. of Branford, CT., 51, passed away on Wednesday, July 23,2014, after a long illness. Born June 26, 1963 in New Haven, CT, raised in Short Beach, Branford and Guilford, CT. Son of the late Charles M. & Florence R. Gray. Charlie is survived by his beloved partner Terri Borzillo, his children Joseph Gray, Charles Gray & Cory Gray and his step-sons Thomas and Steven Proctor, a brother- Duane Gray along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Robert M. Gray.
A skilled welder by trade, Charlie' yearned to live life to its fullest. Be it traveling the country with his loved ones, going to a Red Sox game with his brother & friends, riding his "Fat Bob" Harley or going out in his boat to fish, Charlie made many friends along his journey. He will be loved and missed forever.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone @ YNHH, The Smillow Center and Ct. Hospice in Branford for their diligent efforts and compassionate care afforded to Charlie over the course of his illness.
Friends are invited to a Memorial service at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford on Saturday, August 2 at 2 pm. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery, Hubbard Rd, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smilow Cancer Center, PO Box 2038, New Haven, CT 06508 or CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.
