In Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden, Friday, May 23, 2014, Warren F. Huntington, 83, of Wallingford. Beloved husband of Lisa Talmadge Huntington. Born in Wallingford on Nov. 11, 1930, son of the late Frederick Huntington and Helen Huntington Avolt, and step-son of Ed Avolt. Father of Carol Wilder of Rio Rancho, NM, Rick Huntington of Wallingford, Kathleen (Emile) Voyer of Southington, Philip Huntington of Southington and Janice (John) Gara of Plainville, and special son in law John Czaja of Wallingford. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Huntington had worked for American Cyanamid and retired as Maintenance Foreman after 41 years. He enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, his Disney and Mohegan Casino trips and his beloved black lab Rosie.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 28 from 5 8 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 10 am at the Guilford Funeral Home. Burial will follow Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111 or Shriners Burn Center at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Boston, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114.
