Patricia Jean Orefice, 63, died peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2013 surrounded by friends and family at her favorite summer cottage. Pat was a loving mother and grandmother of her sons, Joe Orefice, Weston CT and Michael Orefice of Canton, GA and her 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Sydney, Sadie, Jonathon, Emily and Jack. She is also survived by her two brothers, Paul Harris of Vermont and Michael Harris of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia "Ginger' Landry. In a more than 30 year career as an emergency room nurse at St Raphael's Hospital, she cared for thousands and her tireless dedication was an inspiration to many. She will be missed, especially for her chocolate chip cookies...
The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Thursday, August 29 at 10:00 am.
